A rare immersive wisdom series

Life, Death & The Journey Beyond

with Gurudev

Sept 25–30, 2026

Art of Living Wellness Retreats · Québec, Canada

Life is much larger than birth & death.
You are the unblemished, pure, eternal self.
Knowing this, you will walk like a king.

This is the experience that Gurudev invites you into.

Timeless Wisdom.
A Living Master.
One Unforgettable Experience.

Spend time with Gurudev in an immersive series on life's biggest questions.

Through his wisdom, guided meditations, reflection, and live Q&A, you'll explore life, death, and the journey that goes beyond.

This is an invitation to meet the part of you that death cannot touch.

What you will experience

Timeless wisdom, brought to life

Many people describe leaving Gurudev's presence feeling not like they gained something new, but like they remembered something they always knew. That is the gift of this series.

Guided meditations

Be guided into profound stillness by one of the world's most celebrated meditation masters. Whether you're new to meditation or have practiced for years, these meditations will meet you where you are.

Space to explore, at your own depth

Whether you're curious about what lies beyond, deepening a meditation practice, or working through something personal, you'll find a space held for you here.

Time in nature to integrate

Québec's forests and lakeside setting offer space between sessions to walk, reflect, and let the teachings settle into the body, not just the mind.

Live Q&A: Bring your questions

Ask the questions you've never asked anyone. Receive wisdom delivered in Gurudev's uniquely warm, often surprising, and quietly transformative way.

Community with fellow seekers

You'll share this experience with a room full of people on the same path. Seekers, practitioners, and curious hearts from all walks of life.

There is something deep inside you that was never born and will never die.

— Gurudev

Meet Gurudev

A living master of the yogic tradition

For over four decades, Gurudev has been doing something remarkable — taking the most profound wisdom of the ancient yogic tradition and making it immediately accessible to anyone who walks through the door.

His work has reached more than a billion people across 180 countries. His teachings have been presented at the United Nations, the World Economic Forum in Davos, and leading universities including Yale. His humanitarian and conflict-mediation initiatives have helped rebuild peace in communities across Colombia, Iraq, the Ivory Coast, and beyond.

But what people remember most is not the credentials. It is the love. The lightness. The way he makes the most ancient wisdom feel like something you always knew. You just needed someone to remind you.

In their words

What people share after time with Gurudev

There are no real words for this. To touch something so deep, so steady, and so powerful — without struggle.

It's not just intellectual. It's real change. A sense of clarity and lightness. I feel like I'm becoming free.

The stillness continues to deepen. There's so much silence, yet I feel so full, aware, and light.

It's not just learning. It's a shift. Old patterns drop. The noise in the mind clears. You begin to see what's been holding you back, and it starts to fall away.

Accommodations

Rest deeply. Awaken refreshed.

Our accommodations are designed with simplicity and serenity in mind, inviting rest, clarity, and inward reflection. Nestled in nature, rooms offer a quiet retreat from the distractions of daily life so you can fully immerse in your inner journey.

Choose from cozy shared rooms to private lodging, depending on your preference and availability. Each space is thoughtfully designed for comfort, simplicity, and rest, allowing the natural beauty of La Mauricie's forested landscape to take centre stage.

Note: Onsite accommodations are limited and in high demand during retreats. If onsite rooms are full, we recommend booking with the nearby Comfort Inn Shawinigan or a local Airbnb. For those seeking a roommate or a ride, see our Support Services section for carpool and offsite lodging forums.

Frequently asked questions

Not at all. This series welcomes everyone, from complete beginners to longtime practitioners. Gurudev is known for making the deepest wisdom accessible to anyone who shows up with an open heart.

Absolutely. Longtime practitioners often describe the experience of sitting with Gurudev as unlike anything they have encountered before — a depth of stillness and insight that goes beyond what regular practice alone can reach.

Each session includes a guided meditation led by Gurudev, timeless wisdom made immediately relevant to everyday life, and live Q&A. Many people describe leaving with a sense of deep settledness. Not something acquired, but something remembered.

They do! Especially during peak programs, onsite lodging is in high demand and often fills quickly. If you miss a spot, no worries — nearby options like Comfort Inn Shawinigan or local Airbnbs (some with added comforts like hot tubs) make excellent alternatives. You'll still be close enough to soak in the full retreat experience.

Yes, free parking is available at the main entrance of the centre just off Highway 351. Complimentary shuttles run every 10–15 minutes between the parking area and the Centre daily. Overflow parking will be directed to nearby parking spots with shuttle service provided.

Absolutely. We provide childcare for children ages 4–12 whose parents are registered for a program or registered as a volunteer.

Dates & Schedule: Sept 26–29, 6:30am to 6pm.

Yes, we do our best to accommodate dietary needs and preferences. Our kitchen provides a gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free diet option if selected during registration.

If you have a severe allergy (such as celiac disease or a serious nut allergy), please note that while we strive to meet your needs, we do not operate a fully allergen-free kitchen and cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination.

We'd love to have you on the team. Volunteering is a meaningful way to contribute and deepen your experience. Just send a quick message to canada.seva@artofliving.ca, and our team will follow up with next steps.

Yes! Therapies can be scheduled in advance, and we highly recommend doing so as spots fill quickly during retreat weeks. You'll also find Ayurvedic beauty and wellness products available at the Centre. Note: Ayurvedic therapies are available only to retreat participants and daily pass holders.
